Social correspondence (1909-1939), including letters from Charles K. Field, Herbert Hoover and his wife, Lou Hoover, Florence P. Kahn, and Nicholas and Theodore Roosevelt; together with a few letters and documents pertaining to some of Esberg's civic and political activities, such as his involvement with the 1915 Panama Pacific Exhibition, the building of the San Francisco War Memorial, and the San Francisco Community Chest. Includes a printed and bound memorial to Esberg from the General Cigar Co., July 19, 1939, some newspaper clippings, and ephemera.
